understanding, connection, acceptance
Nice to meet you! Like many of you; I am a parent, a spouse, a daughter, a sibling, a friend, a professional, and I am also - ME. We all wear many different hats and juggle the responsibilities of ourselves and others, which can at times feel so heavy. Come sit with me and take a load off! I am a dedicated and compassionate human, which translates beautifully into my therapeutic practice, where I believe that everyone deserves to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. I specialize in providing a safe and supportive environment where individuals, couples, and families can explore their challenges, (re)discover their strengths, and develop effective strategies for positive change.
About me personally: I am a Colorado girl living in a big Texas world! I received my Bachelor's of Science from Metro State University of Denver in Mental Health and Addictions Counseling and used my degree to work as a paralegal in criminal defense and family law. Following nearly 10 years in the legal realm, I decided to deepen my ability to connect with and help clients by attending graduate school at Regis University in Denver, Colorado where I received a Master's of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. Recently my family was presented with a difficult, yet exciting, opportunity to pack up and move across the country to Texas.
I know personally and professionally the experience of profound and overwhelming stress, anxiety, depression, and grief. I also know what happiness, love, and comfort feel like and can appreciate that at times our heavy emotions often overshadow or prevent our ability to experience joy. Together, we can navigate the darkness and rekindle your light.
